Our Infrastructure
Dusty Yak Compound
At the Dusty Yak Foundation, 5m east from Rudreshwor Chowk in the city of Kathmandu, located in the area of 1.5 acres, we are much more than a home for our children’s. Large front area for playing and parking along with the place for gardening and farming.
Bedrooms
A girl’s bedroom is her sanctuary from the outside world as she grows up. Having three bedrooms on the first floor of our home namely Jasmine, Rose and Sunflower. Girls are divided into these rooms per four person in the two rooms and three person in the one room.
Kitchen
People say that the kitchen is the heart of the home. And we have to believe it’s true. It is where the meals are created – it fuels the bodies, minds and souls of friends and families all over the world. Our kitchen are divided into two sections one is cooking area and other is dining area. With everyday prayer from breakfast to dinner our girls sit together and have their meals.
Study Room
Girls study room on the top floor of our home where they do their homework and other activities assign to them. The atmosphere of the study room is as similar to that one of the school’s classroom where they enjoy learning from their home tutor.
Playroom
Play space for the children which spark, develop their little imaginations and indulge their sense of fun. The colourful room with the playing materials and the innocence of girls make our home joyful. The cartoon character painting on the wall of playroom makes it vibrant than usual.
